Some graves might have been overlooked . No doubt many lost to sight. Foot note - Captain E. P. PETTY was burried on the spot where he was wounded and died, near the Childers - Gooch Mansion. His grave is within an enclosure with the inscription. Captain Petty's home was at Bastrop, Texas. Captain 17th. Cal-Infty Scurry's Brigade. Killed April 9th, 1864.
