Pierre Boitt Lafitte Cemetery

Submitted by Jane Sanford Keppler abstracted  from DESOTO PARISH HISTORY AND CEMETERY RECORDS by H. A. H. Slawson.

Located on the Gembert Place, Carmel, LA.

Pierre Boitt Laffitte died 1850.  Father of Bayou Peirre, now Carmel.  An old Mr. Prudhomme died in 1845.  Several others are buried in this cemetery. 

This cemetery and the Rock Chapel Cemetery are directly connected with the history of Carmel.
