Dorothy "Dot" Smith

SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Smith, 76, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24th, at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2010, at Westview Christian Church. Officiating will be Reverend Gary Boswell. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery-West.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Mansfield, LA and a resident of Shreveport for over 50 years. She was a member of Westview Christian Church and enjoyed playing Bunco with her group and loved playing Skipbo with her sister, Pat and niece, Paula. She was a very giving and loving mother and grandmother who also loved her yard and flowers.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Alvin Smith. She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Cunningham and husband, Keith, of Bristow, VA and Sandra Brumley and husband, Bryan, of Rodessa, LA ; four grandchildren, Michael Brumley and wife, Stacy, Jeremy Cunningham, Kyle Cunningham and Jessica Brumley; two sisters, Beatrice Harris and Patsy Ann Lambert and husband, Cardis; sister-in-law, Juanita Smith; two great grandchildren, Brett Winland and James Michael Brumley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brody Shumake, Stanley Ezernack, Steve Wilkinson, Randy Lambert, Joe Anderson and Alan Ulcak.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Brumley, Jeremy Cunningham, Kyle Cunningham and Randy Phillips.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving support to Randy Lambert and Paula and Steve Wilkinson and the entire staff of the CCU at Willis-Knighton-North. OSBORNFUNERALHOME.NET
