Funeral services for Troy Earl Bookout were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2003 at Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with Reverend Carl Williamson officiating.

A graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery with Reverend Jeff English officiating.

Pallbearers were Daryl Bookout, Scotty Cosby, Richard Bookout, Andrew Bookout, Jamie Holloway and Michael Bookout.

He was born February 9, 1950 in Key West, Florida, the son of John C. and Alene Keyes Bookout. After graduating from high school, he served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1973.

Troy was a member of the First Baptist Church of LaPorte. A devoted father, he loved being involved with his kids and enjoyed the time he had with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing, sports and his lakehouse. Troy Earl Bookout passed away Monday, June 16, 2003 in a San Antonio hospital at the age of 53.

Survived by his parents John C. and Alene Bookout of Bellville, wife Pameilia Darlene Bookout of Cleveland, children Laura Ann Bookout and Michael Troy Bookout, both of LaPorte, their mother Vicki Lynn Bookout, his wife's children Nikki, Heidi and Rykki Zoshak, brothers John C. Bookout, Jr. and his wife Gale of Wiergate and Richard L. Bookout of El Paso, sister Jo Ann Parkins of El Paso and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville, Texas.
