Funeral services for Roy Brosig, 79, of Sealy were held Thursday, May 1,
2003 at 10 a.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy with Rev. Dale
Leland officiating. Interment was at the Sealy Cemetery in Sealy.
Serving as pallbearers were Keith Clark, Bobby Clark, Alfred Brosig,
Leonard LaPoint, Willie Krupala, Lou Cox, Charlie Burchfield and Raymond
Nastoupil.
Military graveside honors conducted by Lou Cox, Willie Krupala, Charlie
Burchfield and Raymond Nastoupil.
Roy Roland Brosig was born in Cat Spring, Texas, to parents McKinley and
Olga (Pless) Brosig. Raised in the Peters area of Austin County, Roy
attended Peters Hacienda School and was a lifelong farmer.
Mr. Brosig
served
his country during WWII in the 1826th Military Police of the U.S. Army, he
was wounded overseas and received a Purple Heart.
Roy Roland Brosig died Monday, April 28, 2003 in Bellville, Texas.
Survived by his sister Frances Jean LaPoint and husband Lerney of Terrell,
Texas, and his brother Bert Brosig and wife Helen of Sealy and a number of
nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents McKinley and Olga Brosig, sister
Nettie Ola Herod, Adeline Hansen, Ella Mae Farrar, and 3 brothers Ennis,
Winston and Dan Brosig.
Funeral services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels,
Sealy, Texas.
