Funeral services for Jean E. Fariss were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22,
2003 with Dr. William J. "Bill" Newcomb officiating. Graveside services
and
interment followed in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville, Texas.
Mrs. Fariss was born Feb. 15, 1931 in Bellville, Texas. She graduated from
Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Art
Education. As a dedicated teacher, Jean taught in Cypress Fairbanks I.S.D.
until retirement during which time she encouraged many students and made
many special friends. Jean was a dedicated friend.
Jean E. Fariss, 72, died Sunday, May 18. 2003.
A very special thank you to all those who supported her during her illness
most especially, Elizabeth, Gabby, Alice and Betty her caregivers.
