Funeral services for Albert Fick, 86, of Bleiblerville, Texas were held on
Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 10 a.m. from Nelsonville Brethren Church
with Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating. Interment was in the Nation Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Troy Heinsohn, Robert O'Connor, Lane O'Connor,
Danny Duron, John Susen, Jr., and Ronnie Geitsmann.
Honorary pallbearers
were Craig Fick, Logan O'Connor, Landon O'Connor, Delton Fick, Durell
Bernard, Larry Merkel and Mason Heinsohn.
Albert was born in Bleiblerville to parents Willie and Ella (Schaeffer)
Fick. He was raised in Bleiblerville and attended school in Bleiblerville.
Albert wa confirmed and baptized in the Welcome Lutheran Church.
On July 2, 1936,
Albert was joined in marriage to the former Miss Olga Susen with a
ceremony held at Welcome Lutheran Church. Albert worked for Austin County
Precinct Two for 34 years. He retired in 1983 and enjoyed gardening,
working on his tractor, raising sheep and cattle but mostly loved his wife,
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the
Nelsonville Brethren Church, Bleiblerville Volunteer Fire Department and
S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #201.
Albert Fick passed away Saturday, September 20, 2003 in Bellville.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Olga Susen Fick of Bleiblerville,
one daughter Betty Fick Heinsohn of Fayetteville, one son, Leroy Rick and
wife Grace of Bleiblerville, two grandsons, Troy Allen Heinsohn and wife
Dee Dee of Fayetteville and Craig Wayne Fick of Brenham, two granddaughters
Lori O'Connor and husband Robert of Bleiblerville and Tracey Geitsmann and
husband Ronnie of Fayetteville, five great grandchildren, Lane, Lando, and
Logan O'Connor of Bleiblerville and Mason and Haley Heinsohn of
Fayetteville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ella Fick, two
brothers, one sister, son-in-law Carl Heinsohn and great granddaughter Emily
O'Connor.
