Funeral services for Virginia Froebel, 58, of Bernardo Texas were held on
Saturday, May 31, 2003 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus, Texas
with interment at St. Roch's Catholic Cemetery in Mentz, Texas with Fr.
Wayne Flagg and Fr. Dan Kahlich officiating.
Pallbearers were nephew Michael Zweschper, nephew-in-law Kelly Markos,
cousin Scott Ripper, nephews Bryce, Reed and Todd Froebel and close
friends Ryan Beane,and Bob Tait.
She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was
born on March 12, 1945 to Albert and Nita Ripper in Sealy, Texas. She was
a graduate of Columbus High School. On February 25, 1968, Virginia married
Carlos Wayne Froebel. They have lived with their son Brian, in Bernardo
over the last 20 years.
She loved children and currently was working at St. Paul's Lutheran Day
Care and previously at St. Anthony's Catholic School, where she was known to
all the children as "Miss Virginia".
She devoted her life to her family, she was a loving woman with a
beautiful smile. She was a selfless person, who continually gave to her community
and helped in any way that she could. Brian, and her three great nieces Kaley,
Emily and Elizabeth, always brought a smile to her face and happiness in
her voice. Gingie, you are deeply missed.
Virginia Froebel fondly known as "Gingie" died on May 26, 2003 due to
injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 35 years Carlos Froebel, son Brian
25, mother Nita Ripper, sisters Loretta Zweschper and husband James, and
Shirley Supak and husband Jerome, mother-in-law Clara Froebel,
brothers-in-law Cecil Froebel and wife Carrie, Robert Froebel and wife
Ruth, Clyde Froebel, Arthur Froebel, Jr. and wife Faye, and R.H. Priesmeyer and
wife Betty, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Albert Ripper.
Funeral services were under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home.
