Bellville Times
Lee Roy Herbrig was born April
3, 1917 in Welcome, the son of Otto Henry and Lydia Dettmer Herbrig.
He grew up in the Industry area until the age of 10 when he and his
family moved to Houston, In 1971, he moved to Bellville where he has
made his home since that time.
Lee Roy was the owner of Herbrig Electric Company in Houston. He
enjoyed
fishing when his children were young. He also loved his farms and
enjoyed
checking on his cows.
He passed away Wednesday. Dec. 17, 2003 in Bellville at the age of
86.
Survivors include his Daughter Cynthia Heron and her husband, Leon
of
Thompsons Station, Tenn.; sons Walter Herbrig of Bellville, Ricky
Herbrig
and his wife, JoAnn, also of Bellville and John Herbrig of
Bakersfield,
Calif.; grandchildren James Scott, Stacy Wood, Christine Heron, Kara
Labaj,
Becky Macat, Mandy Herbrig and Travis Herbrig; great grandchildren
Colton
Macat, Branden Labaj, Victoria Wood, Zachary Wood, Madison Scott and
Lydia
Heron; nephew Bob Leftwich of New York; and his longtime and loving
companion Sadie Siptak and her wonderful and caring family and many
other
dear friends and relatives.
Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters,
Lillian
Leftwich and Christine Burnett.
Funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the
Industry
United Methodist Church with Pastor Patricia Newcomer officiating.
Burial
followed in the Industry United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were
Travis Herbrig, James Scott, Leon Heron, Herbert Hamilton, Lacy
Hamilton and
Kenneth Macat.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral
Home.
