Funeral services for Lola Belle Hillboldt were held at 1 p.m.
Sunday, Nov.
30, 2003 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville with Rev. Milroy
Gregor
officiating. Entombment followed in the haven of Rest Mausoleum in
the Sealy
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne Roitsch, Brad Young, Calvin Sens, Gene
Foehner and
William Hegemeyer. Honorary pallbearer was Fritz Engelking.
Lola Belle Hassler was born Feb. 25, 1912 in Cat Spring, Texas the
daughter of Charles Henry and Augusta Thomsen Hassler. She grew up
and attended school in Cat Spring.
She was united in marriage with William Charles Hillboldt on Dec.
16, 1933
in Sealy, Texas. During the early years of their marriage, they
traveled
following his construction work before making their home in Cat
Spring. Bill
preceded Lola in death on June 13, 1988.
A member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville, Lola doted on her
grandchildren. She enjoyed swing music, dancing, gardening and
shopping and
she was an excellent cook.
Lola Belle Hassler Hillboldt passed away Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27,
2003.
She is survived by her daughter Toinette H. Bodine and her husband
Grantly
of Houston, granddaughters Brenda Bodine of Houston and Krista
Snuggs and
her husband Tripp of Dallas, and her great grandson Grantly Snuggs
of
Dallas. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Roitsch of La
Grange and
many other dear friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
In lieu of usual remembrances friends who wish may make memorial
gifts to St. John Lutheran Church, 520 North Holland, Bellville,
Texas 77418.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral
Home,
Bellville, Texas.
