Funeral service for Margaret Kaliszewski, 82, of Smithville, Texas were
held
Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in
Bellville with Rev. Bob Gribble officiating. Interment was at Oak Knoll
Cemetery in Bellville.
Serving as pallbearers were Jason Mays, Wes Dempsey, Charles Dempsey,
David
Kaliszewski, Pete Hicks, Ed Hoff and Gary Carver.
Born in Bellville, Texas, Margaret was the daughter of Richard and Adelle
(Brockman) Mewis. She lived and grew up in Bellville where she attended
school. Margaret Mewis married Max Kaliszewski with ceremony held in
Tyler, Texas on Oct. 28, 1944. She was of Episcopal faith and was a lifelong
homemaker and worked as a seamstress.
Margaret Kaliszewski died Sunday, May 4, 2003.
Survivors are daughter Margie Dempsey and husband Charles of Smithville,
son
Bill Kaliszewski and wife Judy of Bellville, grandson Wes Dempsey and wife
Rhonda of Katy, great grandchild Leea Dempsey, sisters-in-law Mary Mewis,
Willie Hintzel, Pauline Bienek, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Richard and Adelle Mewis, husband Max
Kaliszewski, siblings Norma Frank, Roland Mewis, Roman Mewis, Della
Bender,
Elda Hoff, Delmus Mewis, Brock Mewis, Lottie Falk, Marvin Mewis and Rubin
Mewis and sister-in-law Bessie Mewis.
Funeral services under the direction of Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in
Bellville, Texas.
