Funeral services for Mary Sue Kirkpatrick, 78, of Sealy, Texas were held
Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy,
Texas with Rev. Merle Blado officiating. Interment was at the Sealy
Cemetery in Sealy.
Pallbearers serving were Kirk McKnight, John Kirkpatrick, Brent Hay, J.
Travis Petersen, David Kirkpatrick and Austin Clay.
Born in Cleveland, Texas, Mary Sue was the daughter of Charles Robert
Smith and Pearl Hester (Bazzoon) Smith. She was raised in Cleveland, Texas and
graduated from Cleveland High School and received a B.S. degree from Sam
Houston State University. Mary worked at M.D. Anderson hospital as a
medical technician for twenty years and was a member of First Baptist Church of
Sealy. She loved gardening and watching birds especially Cardinals.
Mary Sue Kirkpatrick died July 4, 2003 in Katy, Texas.
Her survivors are daughter Mary Kathleen Kirkpatrick of Sealy, son John
Frank Kirkpatrick of Mobile, Alabama, sister Jeanette Parten and husband
Leon Jack of College Station, grandchildren John Travis Petersen, David
Prassel Kirkpatrick, Austin Baker Clay, Bryan Michael Brown and Andrea
Loren Hawkins, great grandchildren Devin Petersen and Davey and Abigail Hawkins.
Preceded in death by parents Charles and Pearl Smith, sister Maxine Milne,
brothers Charles Goree Smith, Millard M. Smith and Robert Conell Smith.
Funeral services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels,
Sealy, Texas.
