Funeral services for Erna Krueger were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 20,
2003 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Milroy Gregor officiating.
Pallbearers were David Krueger, Roger Krueger, Bill Blume, Larry Krueger,
Gary Krueger, and Marvin Maeckel.
She was born August 28, 1915 in Sealy, Texas, the daughter of Hans Gus and
Ella Keng Becker. She grew up and attended school in Sealy graduating from
Sealy High School.
She was united in marriage with Daniel Krueger on Feb. 21, 1937 in Sealy.
They made their home in Burleigh and then Bellville where together they
owned and operated a cafe. Daniel preceded Erna in death. Erna loved doing
crossword puzzles and was a Lutheran by faith.
Erna Clara Becker Krueger passed away Friday, July 18, 2003 in Bellville
at the age of 87.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law Edith Krueger and Viola Krueger,
both of Bellville, nieces Shirley Maeckel and her husband Marvin of Bellville,
Linda Blume and her husband Bill of Sealy, nephews Larry Krueger and his
wife Sue and David Krueger and his wife Rosie, all of Houston, Roger
Krueger and his wife Janie of Bellville and Gary Krueger and his wife Nancy of
Bellville and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her niece Mary
Lou Grimes.
In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to
the charity of their choice.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home,
Bellville, Texas.
