Bellville Times Funeral services for Nelda Ottmer, 92, of Sealy, formerly of Bellville, were held Sunday, Dec. 15, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. H. Eldon Akerman officiating. Interment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville. Pallbearers were Sterling Schiller, Bryant Schiller, Michael Friedrich, Robert Anderson, Ben Raska and David Zeplin. Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Lanning and Stacy Wittig. Born in Bellville, Nelda was the daughter of Albert and Emma (Giese) Grawunder. She was raised in Raccoon Bend and attended Bradbury Public School. Nelda was baptized July 26, 1913 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg. The former Nelda Grawunder married Herbert Ottmer Nov. 22, 1934 at St. John Lutheran church in Bellville. She was a member at St. John Lutheran Church and really enjoyed fishing. Nelda Ottmer died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003. Survivors are daughters Lorrene Schiller and husband Milton W. of Sealy, Viola Sebesta and husband Royce of San Felipe, Betty Friedrich and husband Leonard of Houston and Erna Love and husband George of Tomball, grandchildren and spouses Sterling Schiller and Wendy, Bryant Schiller and Melinda, Melody Anderson and Robert, Carol Sebesta, Lynn Raska and Ben, Susan Lanning and Joseph, Kathy Wittig and Stacy, Michael Friedrich and Susan, Karen Love, Nancy Love and Sharon Zeplin and David and 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Albert and Emma Grawunder, husband Herbert, Ottmer, brothers Alvin, Edwin, Lonnie and Leon Grawunder.
