Funeral services for Clint Edward Sims, Jr. were held Saturday, August 8,
2003 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas with Rev. Robert
Wagner officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Freddrick Norris, Dwayne Newton, Michael Johnson, James
Steptoe, Maurice Wells, Damon Jackson, Marquiis Carter and Randon Branch.
Honorary Pallbearers were Christopher Sims, Chad Sims, Eugene Easley,
Derrick Sims, Brian Newton, Carl Williams, Kent Conchola, Broddrick
Norris, Kevin Kyle Bailey, Chris Easley, Dominique Rice, Chris Monroe, Donavan
Bailey and Doyle Ray Sims.
He was born March 15, 1984 in Bryan, Texas to the union of Clint and Kathy
Sims, Sr. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at
Salem Baptist Church in Navasota. In his early teens, Bro. Clint Edward Sims,
Jr. joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of
Rev. Jonathan Montomery where he remained a humble and faithful member until
his death.
Known to family members as "Jr.", he was the oldest of his brothers and
sister and the oldest grandchild on his father's side of the family. He
attended school in the Bryan Independent School District and graduated
from Bryan High School's class of 2003. "Jr." loved fishing and his sports.
While attending Bellville High School he participated in track. "Jr." had been
accepted into Texas State Technical College where his goal was to receive
an Associated Degree in air conditioning and refrigeration. His favortie food
was fried fish, "Lil Mama's" bread pudding and dew berry pie.
Bro. Clint Edward Sims, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday August 6,
2003.
He was blessed and loved by his large family. Mother Kathy Conchola and
Craig Harris of Bellville, Texas, father Clint and Jacqueline Sims, Sr.,
brothers Chris Harris and Christopher Sims of Bellville, Chad Sims,
Freddrick and Broddrick Norris, one sister Crystal Sims of Bellville,
Texas, uncles Kent Conchola and family, Leon Sims, Jr. and family, Elvis Sims and
family, Charles Sims and family, Derrick Sims and family of Waco, Texas,
Michael Sims of Houston, Texas, Jeffery L. Bailey and family Kevin Bailey
and family, aunts, Kay Conchola and family, Jacqueline Sims and family of
Houston, Texas, LaNita Legan and family of Bellville, Texas, Sherry Easley
and family, grandparents Margie and Greg Martin, Josephine Whiting of
Bellville, Texas, Leon and Magie Sims, Jeffery and Ora "Lil Mama" Bailey,
a special young lady Kristine Campbell of Montgomery, Texas, a host of
cousins and many other relatives and friends.
He was proceeded in death by one uncle Doyle Ray Sims of Houston Texas.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan,
Texas.
