Michael Dane Todd, a resident of Cat Spring, passed away at Tomball
Regional Hospital.
Michael was born in Electra, Texas on Jan. 14, 1947.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joey.
Survivors include his wife Joan of 32 years; his sister Cindy and husband
Ike Quick; 3 nieces and 1 nephew and their children; also Allison and Katy
Huff, whom he loved as he would his own.
Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served all four years on
the U.S.S. Consillation (Connie) during the Vietnam War. He crossed decks just
so he could stay with the Connie. He loved that ship, having made many
life long friends during that time.
He worked for years as a welder on offshore drilling rigs, he was working
for Diamond offshore when he became ill.
Michael donated his body to the U.T. Medical School in the hopes of
helping others.
Michael enjoyed life. He loved to ride his Harley, working offshore, and
getting together with friends. Now he has taken that one last ride.
