Linda E. Blezinger, age 80 years, lifetime resident of the New Ulm/Industry area passed away suddenly Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004. Born new New Ulm on Jan. 15, 1924 to Alvin and Sophie (Bastian) Mieth, she was one of ten children. She married Norbert Blezinger in Frelsburg on Aug. 12, 1947. She was a homemaker, member of Industry United Methodist Church and Bertha Circle. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wed. Jan. 28, 2004 at the Industry United Methodist Church with Rev. Patricia Newcome officiating. Burial followed in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Blezinger is survived by daughters Linda Karen Ruether and husband Clarence of East Bernard, and Mary Hohlt and husband Gary of Brenham; brothers James Mieth of New Ulm, Roy Mieth of Bryan and Milton Mieth of New Ulm; sisters Leona Behrens of La Grange, Helen Perrard and husband Melvin of Weimar and Ora Nell Baca and husband Herman of Flatonia, grandchildren Paul Ruether, Christina Stolarski, Melissa Holt, Elizabeth Whittington and Bryan Hohlt; great-grandchildren Phillip Ruether, Elise Whittington, Blake Hohlt, Trent Whittington, Derek Stolarski and Jacob Hohlt. She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert who passed away in 1981 and by a son Norbert Jr. in 1968. Memorial contributions may be made to Industry United Methodist Church Memorial fund.
