Funeral services for Marcus Herman Brast, 80, of Wallis, were held Thursday,
Dec. 20, 2004 at 10 a.m. from Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis with
the Rev. Richard Johnston, S.C.J. celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of
Committal. Pallbearers serving were Ed Marcinkiewicz, Victor Brast, Jr.,
Frank Marcinkiewicz, Mark Sliva, Tony Kucera and David Dolejsi.
Born in Rexville, Marcus was the son of Gustav and Eliza Salior Brast. He
was raised in Rexville and attended school in Rexville. Marcus Brast married
Tillie Sliva on De. 27, 1958 with ceremony held at Guardian Angel Church in
Wallis. He was a truck driver delivering propane and farm products and was
also a lifelong farmer. Marcus was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus member,
of Guardian Angel Church and member of KJT.
Marcus Herman Brast died on Dec. 20, 2004 in Wallis Texas.
He is survived by his wife Tillie Brast of Wallis; sisters, Emily Foschee of
Jacksonville, Dena Brast of Columbus; brothers, victor Brast and wife
Shirley of Sealy, Weldon Brast and wife Judy of Sealy, and Gene Brast and
wife Annie of Nacogdoches; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Eliza Brast; siblings
Alice Marcinkiewicz, Reinhardt Brast, David Brast, Lee Brast, Manuel Brast,
William Brast, and Edward Brast.
