Brock Funeral services for Louise D. Brock, 96, of Cat Spring were held on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004 from Grace Bible Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Martin officiating. Interment was in the Cat Spring Cemetery in Cat Spring. Serving as pallbearers were Charles R. Brock, Jr., Colin Brock, Rusty Brock, Allen Brock, Ryan Loewe, Reed Loewe, Ran'dn Loewe and Earl Robert Brock, Jr. Honorary pallbearer was Christina Junghans. Louise was born to parents William and Francis (Gruttroff) Dethlefsen in Houston, Texas. She was raised in Houston and attended Houston schools. On Sept. 10, 1926 the former Miss Louise Dethlefsen was joined in marriage to Mr. Charles R. Brock with a ceremony held at St. John Lutheran Church in Houston. Louise was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Grace Bible Church. Louise enjoyed checking on her chickens and counting their eggs. She also made and would re-do glass dolls. Lousie D. Brock passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004 in Brenham, Texas. She is survived by her daughter Louise Necker of Houston; sons Charles R. Brock, Jr., and wife Gerry of Houston and Colin Brock of Cat Spring; sisters Elsie Carpenter of Canyon Lake, Texas, Annie Spradley of Houston and Francis Kennedy of Houston; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She
is preceded in death by her parents William and Francis Dethlefsen;
husband Charles R. Brock Sr.; son Earl Robert Brock, Sr.; brothers
William and George Dethlefsen.
