Funeral services for Joyce Haedge Brokmeyer, 53, of Bellville, were held Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Bill Derrick officiating. Interment was at the Susen Cemetery in Nelsonville. Pallbearers serving were James Ermel, Kenneth Ermel, Travis Herbrig, Kenneth Macat, Jr., Richard Saxon and Steve Knoll. Born in Bellville, Joyce was the daughter of J.D. and Lucille Krause Haedge. She was raised in the Bellville and Nelsonville area. Joyce attended Bellville High School and received a Nursing Home Administrator Certificate from Blinn Jr. College. She worked as an administrator for a nursing home, cared for the elderly and arranged worship services and musical programs at the nursing home. At home, she loved her pet cats, sewing, attending to her house plants, decorating her home, playing basketball, fishing and other outdoor activities. Joyce was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Industry. Joyce Haedge Brokmeyer died October 9, 2004 in Bellville. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Duane Boecker, daughter and fiance, Becky Macat and Lance Abendroth; grandchildren, Colton Macat and J.D. Boecker and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by parents, J.D. and Lucille Haedge, sister, Darnell Haedge and grandparents, Walter and Theresa Haedge and Willie and Mollie Ueckert.
