Funeral services for Julia "Helen" Deschner, 91, a 26 year resident of Bellville were held Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Evangelist Andrew Fair officiating. Interment was at the Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville. Born in Mansfield, Ohio, Julia was the daughter of Mike and Eva Pilch Bapka. She was raised in Mansfield, Ohio until 1958 when she moved to Texas. She attended Mansfield, Ohio Public Schools. Julia was a lifelong Homemaker and a member of New Apostolic Church in Houston, member of Bellville A.A.R.P., Bellville Homemakers Club and Bellville Garden Club. Julia "Helen" Deschner died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 in Bellville. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Neill and son, Edward R. Deschner, both of Bellville; her two sisters, Anna Bishop of Mansfield, Ohio, and Martha Bias of Indianapolis, Indiana; her brother, Joe Bapka and wife Kathren of Mansfield, Ohio; her grandchildren, Thomas Allen Niell, Jr., James Niell and Michael Niell; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Eva Bapka; her husband, Henry Deschner; infant daughter, Bonnie Jean; and two sisters, Mary and Catherin.
