Funeral Services for Francis Daniel "Butch" Gauss, 59, of Sealy,
were held on Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at 2 p.m. from Christian City
Fellowship in Sealy with the Rev. Rusty Griffin officiating.
Interment was at San Felipe Cemetery in San Felipe.
Serving as pallbearers were Francisco Nolasco, Glenn
Elshick, Larry Linley, Greg West, Vernon Clayton and Daniel
Hamilton.
Francis Daniel "Butch" Gauss was born in New York to parents, Harold
and Gloria (LaVigne) Gauss and moved to Houston before he began
school.
He met Judy Elshick in 1965 and they were joined in marriage on July
17,1966.
Butch's life is best remembered by his great love for his family and
friends. Butch was a sheet metal welder by trade and was employed by
Walsh & Albert for almost 20 years and a member of Christian City
Fellowship where he worshiped with his family.
He died on Monday, Feb. 2, 2004 at his home in Sealy.
He is survived by his wife Judith Gauss of Sealy; daughters, Terrie
Smith of South Carolina and Christa Nolasco and husband Francisco of
Rosenberg; sons James Gauss of Colorado and Zacharie Gauss of Sealy;
sisters Sharon Clayton and husband Vernon of East Bernard and Debra
Gauss of Dallas; mother-in-law. Ruth Elshick of Sealy;
brother-in-law, Jesse Elshick and wife Martha of Bellville;
grandchildren Jimmy and Christopher Smith, Kyle and Brittni Gauss
and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Gloria Gauss.
