Funeral services for Tim Goossensen, 39, of Houston were held Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the Knesek Bros. Chapel in Sealy with Mr. Jim Middleton officiating. Interment was at the Sealy Cemetery. Pallbearers serving were Lewis Mudd, Frank Novak, Shane Mudd, Austin Mudd, Tim Avery and Vince Miranda. Honorary pallbearers were members of Northwest Church of Christ, Larry Holloway and Jay Denton. Born in Houston, Tim was the son of Simon and Merle Davis Goossensen. He was raised in Houston and graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1984. Tim served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Goossensen was an owner and operator of a landscaping company since the age of 13. He enjoyed watching NFL Football on the TV and Country and Western Dancing. Tim Goossensen died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004 in Houston. He is survived by his mother Merle Goossensen of Houston; twin sister, Tami Mudd and husband Lewis of Sealy; sister, Terri Novak and husband Frank of Houston; nephew Austin Mudd; step-nephews Shane Mudd and wife Deanna, John Novak and wife Melinda, Mark Novak and wife Jeni; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Preceded in death by his father Simon Goossensen. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at the Texas Medical Center, 1905 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, TX 77030.
