Hilda Brast Krancher Grayless, born on November 15, 1923 went to be with her Lord on April 14, 2004 after a brief illness. Mrs. Grayless is preceded in death by her first husband of ten years, Leslie Krancher; her second husband of eight years, Clyde Grayless; son, Larry Lee Krancher; step-son, Dewey Ray Krancher; brothers, Alvin Brast, Fritz Brast and Hugo Brast; and sister, Josie Brast-Stamnitz. She is survived by daughters Bonnie Marek and husband David of Wallis, and Linda Heintz of La Grange; sons, Les Krancher and wife Jane of Rosenberg, Kirby Krancher and wife Carolyn of Rosenberg; sister, Eline Pfeffer of Bellville; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation was from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 15 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 16 at the First Baptist Church in Rosenberg. Interment followed at Sealy City Cemetery. Dr. Donnie Melton officiated the services. Pallbearers were Fritz Oberoff, the Rev. Charles Teykl, Danny Dequeant, David Marek, Jason Sweatt and Chris Krancher.
