Roy Green, Sr. 68, of Industry was born on March 30, 1936. He passed away at Herman Hospital, Houston on Monday Aug. 23, 2004. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30 at The West End Baptist Church of Industry with the Rev. Ricky Campbell of Clute officiating and the Eulogy given by his son the Rev. Roy Green, Jr. pastor of Mars Hill Deliverance Tabernacle, Fayetteville. He leaves to cherish his fondest memories; his loving wife of 48 years, Lacy; three sons, Roy Green Jr. (Joyce) and Terry Green of Industry, Rodney Green (Tina) of Navasota; five daughters, Ola Helm (Robert) of Lake Jackson, Sandra Isom (Willie) of Kingwood, Sherrie Johnson (John) of Hockley, Cheryl Minor (Sam) of Monroe, La., Christy Porter (Keith) of College Station; 15 adorable grandchildren; three brothers, Alfred Green of Brenham, Rev. E.J. and Virgil Jones of Cameron; five sisters, Viola Davis of Industry, Verdell Gross of Houston, Gladys Ray of Hempstead, Ruby Evans of Brenham, and Annie Bonner of Austin; a sister-in-law Burnell Green of Bellville; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Roy worked more than 40 years in the stockyard business with The Sealy Auction which and Port City Stockyards of Sealy. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed the rodeo. His love for his family and friends were endless. ³Live your life so that when you die, you are the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying² Final arrangments were entrusted to The Psalms Funeral Home of Navasota, Texas who handled the services in an extraordinary fashion.
