Graveside services for Donna Mildred Yates Hansen, 70 years young, were held
Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Sealy Cemetery Pavilion with the
Rev. Dale Leland officiating.
Born in Kingston, Arkansas, Donna was the daughter of Loly Dee Yates and
Eleanore Dobrinski Yates. She was raised in Houston, confirmed in 1948 at
Immanuel Lutheran Church, attended Immanuel Lutheran Church School and
graduated from Reagan High School.
On April 17, 1954, the former Miss Donna Yates and Mr. James "Jim" Hansen
were married with ceremony held in Houston. Donna Mildred Yates Hansen was a
lifelong homemaker, beloved and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister,
aunt and friend.
She died peacefully at home in Sealy with her family around her on Monday,
September 6, 2004, after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James "Jim" F. Hansen of Sealy;
daughter, Kathy Moore and Jimmy Rhyne of Sealy, Christine Henneke of
Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Barb Hansen of Sugar Land;
sisters, Marjorie Davis of Porter, Dixie Garrett and husband James of
Spring, and grandchildren, Roy and Paul Leopold of Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loly Dee and Eleanore Yates.
Services arranged under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels,
Sealy.
