Wiley B. Harle, 79, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003 in Houston. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Mary; his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, James Mitchell and Rebecca Anne and their parents James W. and Mary K. Harle, Stark Hunter and his parents Bascom S. and Sally Harle; and twin brother Dr. James Harle; many nieces and nephews and special young friends Haylee, Erin, Meagan, Katie and Paige. Mr. Harle was preceded in death by his daughter Anne Elizabeth, his parents and his sister. He retired as a petroleum geologist after serving with the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a graduate of the University of Texas, an Eagle Scout, an Elder/Trustee at Grace Presbyterian Church as well as a member of numerous other professional organizations. Many will miss his jewelry craftsmanship and woodworking. A memorial service was held Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee at Beltway 8. A local memorial service will be held in Bellville. Time and date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice. The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to their friends for their love and support during this time.
