Herbert L. Haverlah, age 67 years, 7 months, 6 days, of Industry, passed away suddenly Thursday morning. Born February 10, 1937 in Industry, he was a child of Erwin & Mary Ressmann Haverlah. He married Marie Richter in Frelsburg on September 29, 1962. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Industry United Methodist Church. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Survivors include his wife, Marie Haverlah of Industry; daughters, Elizabeth Groves and her husband Jeff of Brookshire, Patricia Glasscock and her husband Scott, of Mount Vernon; sons, Charles Haverlah of Chattanooga, Tenn., and William Haverlah of Industry. Also, his mother, Mary Klatt, of Industry; one brother, Bennie Haverlah and wife Margaret, also of Industry; and eleven grandchildren, Andrey, Joshua, and Alyssa Hogues, Rayond Groves, Collin and Kerrigan Glasscock, Amber and Charles Nicholas Haverlah, Matthew Thomas, Dylan, Kaitlin and Weston Haverlah. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters and a brother; and by a granddaughter, Jessica. Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004, from Industry United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patricia Newcomer officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Industry United Methodist Church, the Industry Volunteer Fire Department Building Fund, or to the Boy Scout Troop #299 in Industry.
