Milady Wiecker Henske, 87, of Bleiblerville, and the widow of Otto Henske died early Saturday morning in Trinity Care Center. Mrs. Henske was born March 16, 1916 in Wesley, Texas, the daughter of Charlie and Ela Schultz Ripple. She was baptized and confirmed in the Welcome Lutheran Church of Welcome. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome, a charter member of the Church Ladies Aid and member of the Welcome Lutheran Church Senior Citizen Group. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Mary Lou & John Craig, Jeanie and Willie Stoerner and Joyce and Lloyd Norwood all of Bleiblerville. Sons and daughters-in-law Otto C and Wanda Henske of Kingsville, Texas and Melvin and Lillian Henske of Brenham. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Mrs. Henske was preceded in death by her first husband Ben L. Wiecker on February 5, 1955 and by her second husband Otto Henske on May 28, 1974, by her parents, one brother Charlie Ripple and one sister Vada Sunderhuse. She was also preceded by LaVerne Spitzer and Buddy Henske. Her family would like to thank Dr. Bret Hood and his staff for all their kindness. Also the staff and her friends at Trinity Care Center for their kindness and loving care during her stay at the Center. Funeral service for Milady Wieker Henske were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004 at Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome with Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis Stoerner, Billy Stoerner, John Craig, Tony Manley, Jones Lansford, Steve Woodall and Don Callaway. Honorary pallbearers were Casper Balke, Wayne Sunderhuse, Bessie Broz, Elroy Wiecker, Herbert Schovajsa, Dana Clark, James Balke and Ernest Platte. Memorials may be given to Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome, or Hospice of Brazos Valley, Brenham Chapter. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, Texas.
