Lynden Allen Wayne Hiland was born June 8, 2002 in Sterling, Ill., the son of George "Scott" Hiland and Nonie Starr. For the past month, Scott, Nonie and Lynden have made their home in Bellville.

Lynden passed away suddenly Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at his home.

He will be missed by his parents: Scott and Nonie of Bellville; grandparents Lori Schaney of Lincoln, Neb., John Starr and Shari Lenz of Oregon, and Linda Pitts and Tom Moreno of Sterling, Ill.; great grandparents Dorothy Hiland of De Kalb, Ill., Raymond W.
