Funeral Services for Amalie Hubenak, 88, of Frydek, were held on
Friday,
March 19, 2004, at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek
with
the Rev. Bernard Snock celebrating the funeral mass and rite of
committal.
Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery in Frydek. Serving as
pallbearers were
Wesley Pomikal, Tim Strayer, Brandon Strayer, Patrick Murphy, Brett
Harlan,
and Ricky Duty.
Amalie Hubenak was born in Frydek to parents, Joseph and Rosalie
Vesley
Kutra. She was raised in Frydek and attended St. Mary's Catholic
School.
On October 26, 1938 the former Miss Amalie Kutra was joined in
marriage to
Mr. Frank Joe Hubenak, Jr. with a ceremony held in Frydek. Amalie
was a
member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Frydek K.J.Z.T.
She died on Sunday, March 14, 2004 in Katy.
She is survived by her daughters Loretta Duty of Brookshire and
Gladys
Pomikal and husband James of Frydek; grandchildren, Annette Strayer
and
Husband Tim of Frydek, Donna Murphy and husband Patrick of Red Rock,
Betsy
Harlan and husband Brett of Frydek, Wesley Pomikal of Frydek and
Ricky Duty
of Louisiana; great grandchildren Brandon and Matthew Strayer,
Braden
Murphy, Jacob Haberlah, Chad and Molly Harlan and Amanda Duty.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rosalie Kutra;
husband
Frank Joe Hubenak, Jr.; son Dennis Hubenak; step grandson Mickie
Duty;
sisters Annie Surovcik, Lillie Sodolak, Sophie Novosad, Mary Mlcak,
and
Frances Kutra.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vitas
Innovative
Hospice of Texas for the wonderful care they provided for Amalie.
