Funeral services for Shirley Hughes, 67, of Wallis were held Wednesday, June
2, 2004 at 10 a.m. from First Baptist Church of Sealy with the Rev. Merle
Blado officiating. Interment was in the Hartsville Cemetery near Wallis.
Serving as pallbearers were John Brothers, John Rosselli, Jeff Croteau, Jeff
Virnau, Joey Ussery and Kenny Howard.
Shirley was born in Eunice, West Virginia to parents Ward and Anne Owsley
Foreman. She was raised in Jacksonville, Florida where she attended school.
Shirley was joined in marriage to Thomas Hughes. She worked for Holland
Trucking in Sealy for numerous years. She was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Sealy.
Shirley Hughes died May 30, 2004 in Richmond, Texas.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas Hughes; daughter, Lori Browning
and husband Dirk; sons, Mark S. Hadley, and Tom Hughes and wife Traci;
stepson, Paul Freeman and wife Michelle; sister, Linda Isbell; brother,
James Foreman and wife Arbie; grandchildren, Mark S. Hadley, Jr., Kristopher
Morgan, Heather Kellar, Amanda Morgan, Clint Browning, Adam Collins, and
Donovan, Lena, William, Matthew and Aimee Hughes; great grandchildren, Faith
Morgan, and Jacob, Chase and Zoey Kellar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Anne Foreman.
