Funeral services for Dennis Alfred Jankowiak, 68, of Brazoria were held Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 10 a.m. from Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, with the Rev. Don Ruppert celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment will be in the Czech National Cemetery in East Bernard. Serving as pallbearers were Nick Drabek, James Costagliola, David Drabek, Chris Telschow, Sr., Chris Telschow, Jr. and Tommy Jankowiak. Born in East Bernard, Dennis was the son of Mike and Augusta Brandl Jankowiak. He worked as a machinist in the oil industry. Mr. Jankowiak was of Catholic faith, serviced his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion. Dennis Alfred Jankowiak died June 23, 2004 in San Antonio. Dennis is survived by his daughter Deneen Kennedy and husband Brent of Hockley; sons, Rodney Jankowiak and wife Jacque of Cypress, Shawn Jankowiak and wife Dawn of Magnolia; brother, Mike Jankowiak, Jr. and wife Pat of Brazoia; grandchildren, Chris Telschow, Jr., Ryan and Lauren Kennedy, Skyler and Britany Jankowiak and Jillian Jankowiak.
