Funeral Services for Edna Janosky, 85, of Cat Spring were held on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Milroy Gregor officiating. Interment was in the Oak Knoll Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Jordan, Gary Mikeska, Robert Engelholm, Clifton Hein, Eddie White, and Marty Jordan. Edna was born the daughter of William and Augusta Deo Hartman in Cat Spring where she grew up and attended school. On December 24, 1935 the former Miss Edna Hartman was joined in marriage to Mr. Benjamin Janosky with ceremony held in Bellville. She was of Lutheran faith and worked for many years as an Environment Supervisor for Tenneco. Edna loved gardening, canning, crochet, fishing, star gazing, family oriented gatherings, and traveling, especially to Colorado. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Edna Janosky passed away Saturday, September 25, 2004 in Brenham. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Kent and husband Herbert W., Jr. of Cat Spring, and Lynda Schlebach of Cat Spring; sons, Tommy Janosky of Sugar Land, Raeford Janosky of Cat Spring and Ben Janosky of Spring; sister, Anita Martens of Cat spring; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Augusta Hartman; husband, Benjamin Janosky; brothers, Hugo and Alfred Hartman; and one great grandchild.
