Bellville Times Graveside Service for William Ray ³Billy² Jordan was held Saturday, January 31, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pilgrim¹s Rest Cemetery in Bellville with Reverend Dennis Evans officiating. William Ray ³Billy² Jordan was born August 26, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama the son of James Parker and Edith Hightower Jordan. He moved to Texas when he was three years old and enlisted in the U. S. Army Reserves at eighteen, serving his country from 1960 to 1966. On May 20, 1966, Billy married Glinda Reid Kocurek in Liberty Texas. They lived in Tomball, Texas for twenty-five years before moving to Bellville in November, 2003. He enjoyed music and was a member of the Tomball V.F.W. Billy passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 in a Houston hospital at the age of 62. He is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Glinda ³Sue² Jordan of Bellville. Children, Bobby Joe Statum of Houston, Melonie Hirsch of Bellville, Darrell Ray Jordan of Bellville, Ricky Dale Kocurek of Frydek, Vickie Kocurek of Tomball, and Shannon Gregory of Crosby. Grandchildren, Kristen Smith, Caleb Mitchell, Brandon Hirsch, Baileigh Hirsch, Heath Kocurek, Jerred Kocurek, Kaitlyn Gregory, Brittany and Jennifer Statum. Sisters, Shirley Chandler and Joyce Harris; Brothers, Jimmy, Danny and Joe Jordan; and Mother-in-law, Nancy Reid of Bellville.
