Anita Seeker Kaliszewski, 86, of Brenham, died July 29, 2004, in Colonial Belle Nursing Home in Bellville. Mrs. Kaliszewski was born April 8, 1918, in Brenham, to Gus Sr. and Emma Schramm Seeker. She was educated in Washington County schools. On Nov. 18, 1945, she was married to John A. Kaliszewski in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill. Mrs. Kaliszewski was employed at Brentex Mills for 26 years. She was a member of Sons of Hermann Lodge #6. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Erwin Thiel of Bellville; granddaughter, Stacy Thiel of Brenham; and brother and sister-in-law, Gus Jr. and Ruby Seeker of Brenham. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John A. Kaliszewski, on Nov. 22, 1976. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Matthew Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. The family received visitors from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbeareres were Robert Jensen, Frank Macik, F.C. Schulte, Edwin "Butch" Seeker Jr., Mark Eckert, Tommy Kaliszewski. Memorials may be given to the radio ministry at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham.
