Funeral services for Charles "Buddy"
Krampitz, 81, of Sealy were held at 10
a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at St. John's Episcopal Church in
Sealy with
the Rev. Bob Wawee officiating. Interment was at the Sealy Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were Tommy Ward, Scotty Stroud, Tony
Tsounakas,
Gary Pless, Marvin Landers, Fred Danford and George Pacher.
Charles David Krampitz was born in Sealy to parents Frank J. Sr. and
Dovie
Barry Krampitz. He was raised in Sealy. He graduated from Sealy High
School
and attended Texas A & M University Veterinary School. Buddy
served his
country during World War II in the United States Army and was
awarded the
Purple Heart. He married the former Miss Mary Jo Kunze on October
13, 1946
in San Felipe and spent a career as a rural mail carrier for the
United
States Postal Service. Buddy was a member of St. John's Episcopal
Church in
Sealy, the Sealy American Legion, the Round Table at Tony's
Restaurant, and
a former Fire Chief for the Sealy Volunteer Fire Department. He died
Monday,
February 23, 2004 at his home in Sealy.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Nancy
Krampitz of
Sealy; brother Frank J. "Bo" Krampitz, Jr. of
Pflugerville; niece Eileen
Krampitz; nephew John, Thomas and Jason Krampitz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Kovie Krampitz,
Sr.;
wife Mary Jo Krampitz; and sister-in-law Kay Krampitz.
