LEOLA (WILLRODT) KRUEGER
Bellville Times Leola Willrodt Krueger was born in Bellville, on Dec. 27, 1908 to parents Herman and Minna Zeimer Willrodt. A lifelong resident of the Burleigh Community, she attended the Roach Prairie School. Leola was united in marriage with Waco Krueger on Jan. 24, 1935 in Bellville. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1981. A homemaker, Leola dearly loved her grandchildren and her great granddaughters. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing dominoes. A Methodist by faith, she had been a member of the Coshatte Agriculture Society, Sons of Hermann, the Coshatte Home Demonstration Club, Piney PTA and had served as a 4H leader. She passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 in Bellville at the age of 95. She is survived by her daughter Lois Palla and her husband, Louis; granddaughter Leisha Chandler and her husband, Bruce; grandsons Lyle and Lonnie Palla and great granddaughters Misty and Marlee Chandler, all of Bellville; nieces and nephews Ruby and Al Holtz, Joyce Haugen, William R. and Sue Krueger and Bruce and Neville Remmert and many other dear friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sister-in-law, William and Birdie Willrodt, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nona and Edward Remmert, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Leroy and Josie Krueger and nephews Ray Willrodt and Don Haugen. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Wayne Middleton officiating. Burial followed in the Coshatte Cemetery. Pallbearers were William R. Krueger, Alton Holtz, Larry Krueger, Bruce Chandler, Bruce Remmert, Eric Haugen, Gary Krueger and Albert Palla. Honorary Pallbearers were Marvin Maeckel, Jeff Haugen, Toby Floyd, Christian Remmert, Jeff Howard and Keith Krueger. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Coshatte Agriculture Society, 375 Coshatte Road, Bellville, Texas 77418.
