Funeral services for Adella Lezak, 86, of Sealy, were held
Wednesday, March
24, 2004 at 11 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in
Sealy with the Rev. Octavio Muguerza and the Rev. Louie Pavlicek
celebrating theFuneral Mass and Rite of Committal.
Interment was at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy.
Pallbearers for the service were Bill Melnar, Wilbert Kutra, Chuck
Zeiler, Russell Duin, Mike Power and Jeff Power.
Catholic Daughter's recited Rosary at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 23,
2004, followed by a Vigil Wake Service at 6 p.m. by Deacon Jerome
Losack.
Born in Frydek, Texas, Adella Dorothy Machala was the daughter of
Frank and Frances Kutra Machala. She was raised in Frydek and
attended the St. Mary's Catholic School.
On July 21, 1935, the former Miss Adella Machala and Mr. Pete Lezak
were married with ceremony held in Frydek.
For many years, Adella and Pete were the owners and proprietors of
the Red & White Grocery Store. After Pete passed away, she
worked at several Antique Shops in Sealy. Adella was a member of
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, K.J.Z.T.,
and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Adella Lezak died Sunday, March 21, 2004, in Conroe, Texas.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dolores and Charles
Power of Montgomery; sister Mary Kutra of Sealy; brother and
sister-in-law Jerry and LaVerne Machala of Pasadena; grandchildren
Mike Power, Jeff Power and wife Clara, Lisa Duin and husband
Russell, Brenda Zeiler and husband Chuck; great grandchildren Sophia
Power, Evan and Emily Duin, and Zachary and Lindsey
Zeiler.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Frances Machala;
husband Pete Lezak; brothers Frank, Louis and Joe Machala; and
sisters Annie Buchala and Bertha Pustejovsky Gallup.
