Bellville Times

Marie Jasek Maresh was born October 25, 1911 in Cameron, the daughter of
Louis Vince Jasek, Sr. and Theresa Macik Jasek. She was raised in the
Sycamore Crossing area and attended the Oak Hill School
On November 26, 1928, she was united in marriage with Frank E. Maresh in
Austin County. They made their home in Bellville. Frank preceded Marie in
death on September 25, 1964.
During her working years, Marie had worked as a sales lady for American
Hosiery Mills and sold cosmetics for Starlight Products. She had also worked
as a nurses aide for the Sweetbriar and Colonial Belle Nursing Homes.
A lady who prided her self on being self-sufficient, Marie enjoyed canning
and gardening, and she loved to fish, hunt and shoot her shotgun.
She passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 in Bellville at the age of 92. She is
survived by her children, Franklin Maresh and wife Doris, and Glenn Maresh
and wife Darla, all of Bellville; eight grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; one brother, Rudolph Jaseck of Bellville; and many
other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Louis, Jr., and Frank;
and two sisters, Tracy and Emma.
Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2004 at the Schmidt
Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Lynn Burling officiating.
Burial followed in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Jasek,
Justin maresh, Jason Maresh, Bryan Maresh, Bradley Maresh and W.T. Jasek.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Dale maresh, Franklin Dale maresh, Robert
Louis Maresh and John Jasek.
In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to
St. John Lutheran Church, 520 N. Holland, Bellville, TX 77418.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home,
Bellville.
