Funeral services for Eva May Miller, 93, of Sealy
were held 11 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in
Sealy
with the Rev. Octavio Muguerza celebrating the funeral mass. The
rite of
committal was held Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 in Camp San Saba Cemetery
near
Brady. The parish vigil wake service and rosary were held at 7 p.m.
Friday,
Feb. 27, 2004 at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy. Pallbearers
for the
service were grandsons.
The former Miss Eva May Carley was born to parents John and
Henrietta Marie
Walsh Carley in Sharon, Connecticut. She attended Sharon High School
and was
a graduate of Hartford School of Nursing. She pursued a nursing
career in
hospital emergency care and was a nursing instructor as well. She
was
married for 56 years to the former Milton E. Miller of Brady, Texas.
Mrs.
Miller was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in
Sealy and
was an avid quilter with several awards to her name. She died
Wednesday,
Feb. 25, 2004 in Katy.
Survivors include her seven children Pete Miller of Colorado; Tom
Miller of
Washington; John Miller of Idaho; Sarah Thimmesch of Virginia; Dan
Miller,
Carly Ann Armand and Rilla Youngblood of Texas; eighteen
grandchildren; and
thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held under the direction of the Knesek Family
funeral
Chapel of Sealy.
