Charles Foster "Chuck" Oakley was born June 25, 1920 in Mill Shoals, Ill.,
the son of Charles and Emma (White) Oakley. He grew up and attended school
in Mill Shoals before moving to Mt. Vernon, Ill.
A decorated war veteran, Chuck served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps
earning the Distinguished Flying Cros
