Graveside Services for John Phillip Pfeffer, 97, of Bellville, were held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at 4:00 p.m., from Oak Knoll Cemetery with the Rev. Milroy Gregor officiating. Born in Kenny, John was the son of Charles F. Pfeffer and Johanna Dahse Pfeffer. He was raised in the Kenney area and attended school there. Mr. Pfeffer and Miss Mary Ann King were married in 1936. John was most proud of his accomplishments in the electrical field. He became an expert lineman, traveling Austin County and surrounding areas, helping to install electricity to rural areas. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers presented John with a 70 year membership pen in July of 2000. Mary preceded John in death in 1953. John and Frances Loose were married October 23, 1953. Frances preceded him in death on June 9, 1996. John Phillip Pfeffer was an extraordinary man of great intellect and great kindness. John died on Monday, April 19, 2004, in Wimberly. Survived by his son John Pfeffer, Jr. of Wimberly, his sister Martha Dahse of Kenney, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including his two best friends "Buck" and "Bob". He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Johanna Pfeffer, wives Mary Ann and Frances, son Charles Pfeffer, sisters Clara Wiktorik and Ella Schaare, and 7 brothers Arnold, Jacob, Phillip, Walter, Charlie, Edward and Oscar Pfeffer.
