Bellville Times

Vera Mae Cowart Pinson was born October 4, 1934 in Dallas, the daughter of
Edgar T. and Clara Mae Fry Cowart. She grew up and attended school in Rusk.
After graduating from Rusk High School, she attended Lon Morris College. She
then earned her Masters Degree in English at Texas A&M University and her
Masters Degree in Library Science at Sam Houston State University.
Vera made her home in many different places including Bay City and LaMarque.
She taught at Katy High School and at Bellville High School, as well as at
Faith Academy in Bellville.
On July 7, 1995, Vera was united in marriage with Byron Pinson at Sts. Peter
and Paul
