Charles Polasek, Jr., 90, of Wallis passed away on Dec. 22, 2004. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 at Guardian Angel Church with the Rev. Richard Johnston and Msgr. Boli Zientek officiating at the funeral mass and rite of committal. Eunice Viaclovsky Haas served as organist. His seven grandsons served as pallbearers. His survivors include children, Maureen and husband Syl Viaclovsky of Friendswood, Larry Polasek and wife Judy of Santa Fe, Jerry Polasek and wife Sue of Sugar Land and Janie and husband Chuck Connelly of Houston; grandchildren, Syl Viaclovsky and wife Susan, Jeff Viaclovsky, Chris Polasek and wife Lori, Jerry, Randy and Kevin Polasek, and Jennifer, Lauren and Ryan Connelly; great-grandchildren, Nikki, Syl, Ann, Gage and Charlie Viaclovsky and John Polasek; sister, Edna Dibala; and brother, Frank Polasek. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Jez Polasek; parents, Charles Sr. and Janie Klecka Polasek; sisters, Sister Sophie Anna Polasek (nun) and Frances Mikes. Mr. Polasek was a teacher, a musician and a farmer. He graduated from the University of Houston. He taught at Guardian Angel School, Sealy High School, Needville Junior High and Wallis Elementary. He played the saxophone for many bands, including the Syncopators and the Joe Cervenka band. Funeral services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels, Wallis. Posted by Joy Neely
