Bellville Times

 Stanley Daniel Rudek was born on March 9, 1931 in Bremond the son of Frank
B. and Janie Slominski Rudek. He was raised, and also attended school, in
Bremond before moving to Houston and finally settling in Bellville in 1975.
He was honorably discharged from the United States Army on  Nov. 4, 1952.
Stanley was of the Catholic faith and on January 13, 1963 he married Evelyn
Smith in Houston. He enjoyed spending time fishing and loved being outdoors.
Stanley passed away at his residence on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the age
of 73.
He is survived by his wife of more than 41 years, Evelyn Rudek of Bellville;
son, Frank Rudek and his wife, Tracie of McConnellsville, Ohio; daughter,
Linda Cloud and her husband, Clifton of Bellville; grandchildren, Brandon
and Tabitha Cloud of Bellville; step-grandchild, Rachael Anfone of
McConnellsville, Ohio; great-grandchild, Kayla Cloud also of Bellville;
sisters, Josephine Schwartz and husband, Rick of Houston and Frances Edge of
Bryan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Veronica Ballew, and
her husband, Charles, Sr; and brother-in-law, Lee Edge.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Sts.
Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bellville, with Father Tim Bucek,
Celebrant. Interment followed at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville.
Pallbearers were Clifton Cloud, Marcus Cloud, James Edge, Ronald Edge,
George Edge and James Hassell.

Funeral arrangements were  under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home,
Bellville.
