Funeral services for Annie Townsend, 61, of Sealy were held Monday, Jan. 5, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at the Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment followed at 3 p.m. in the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas.

The former Miss Annie Scott was born in Atwood, Alabama to parents Thomas U. and Shellie Pleasant Scott. She married Robert C. Townsend and was a homemaker.

 Mrs. Townsend died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 in Katy, Texas.

Survivors include her children, Shellina F. Vacha, Patricia L. Biehler, Lewis O. Kirk and wife Vicky, stepson Cliford Townsend, sisters Coramie George of Florida, Catherine Vacha and husband Lumir of Sealy, brothers Joseph P. Scott and wife Diane of Florida and Adrian A. Scott of Michigan and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and four brothers.

Funeral services were held under the direction of the Knesek Family Funeral Chapel, Sealy, Texas.
