NICOLE EILEEN TAYLOR UECKERT
Bellville Times Nicole Eileen Taylor Ueckert was born January 17, 1976 in Elmhurst, Illinois. The daughter of Nick and Colleen Barry Ybarra. She grew up and attended school in Elmhurst, graduating from York High School. She was employed as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of North American Sales for Riddell Sports Equipment Manufacturing. In 1999, she moved to Hempstead and attended Blinn Junior College in Brenham. It was at Blinn that Nicole met her future husband, Edwin Ueckert. They were united in marriage August 10, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home on the Ueckert family property outside of Bellville. Nicole loved being a homemaker and cooking. She was also devoted to her animals: 3 dogs and 2 cats. She had recently helped her brother-in-law start his new business, A-1 Quality Plumbing, where she was employed as the Office Manager. Nicole went to be with her son Nickolus Kent on Saturday, July 31, 2004. She was 28 years old. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Ueckert of Bellville; parents, Nick and Colleen Ybarra of Hempstead; stepchildren, Stacy Ueckert and Alex Ueckert, both of Bellmeade; sister and brother-in-law, Tiffany and J.R. Vasquez of Chappell Hill; and niece and nephews, Mia, Dylan and Devyn Vasquez, also of Chappell Hill. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. V.H. Ueckert of Columbus; brother-in-law, William Ueckert, his wife Carol, and their children of Woodland, California; several stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Nicole was preceded in death by her beloved son, Nickolus Kent Ueckert, on November 11, 2003. Funeral Services were held at 5 p.m. Friday August 6, 2004 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Monte Byrd officiating. Burial followed in the Ueckert Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Berkely Sisson, Melvin Flentge, Lonnie Phillips, K.D. Barnhart, Scott Ickey and David Barry. In Lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Nickolus Ueckert Memorial Fund, Austin County Co-op, Bellville ISD Speech Therapy Program, Attn: Colleen Renfrow, 1727 Eagle Lake Road, Sealy, TX 77474.
