Funeral services for Glenn Irvin Wright, 74, of New Ulm were held Thursday Feb. 5, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Bill Mosley officiating. Interment was in the New Ulm Cemetery.

Glenn Irvin Wright was born to parents Ollie J. and Melinda Boyd Wright in Wharton. He was raised in Wharton and attended Wharton Public School. On July 2, 1944, he married the former Miss Jocie Meador in Houston and was a contractor for the Santa Fe Railroad.

Mr. Wright died Feb. 2, 2004 in Brenham.

Survivors include his wife, Jocie Wright of Mew Ulm, children and spouses, Bonnie Jean Skow and Alvin of El Campo, Glenda Price and Forrest of New Ulm, Glenn Wright II and Sandi of Cypress; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Melinda Wright, son, Glenn I. Wright Jr., brothers, Donald Ray, Ollie Jr., Paul G. and Leslie Earl Wright.

Funeral services were held under the direction of the Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel of Bellville.
