Funeral services for Olga "Ollie" Browne, 93, of Sealy, were held Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 5 p.m. from First United Methodist Church in Sealy with the Rev. John Tyler officiating. She died Monday, July 17, 2006 in Sealy. Interment was at Sealy Cemetery. Born December 30, 1912 in Wallis, "Ollie" was the daughter of Jan and Rozina (Malina) Sabrsula. She was one of 13 children. She was raised in Wallis and she graduated from Wallis High School in 1931 and she went on to business school in Houston. She recently attended the 2006 Wallis High School reunion in Wallis and was the oldest graduate in attendance. Olga "Ollie" Sabrsla married Glenn C. Browne and moved to Sealy in 1949. She worked as a waitress until she was 70. She was a member of the United Methodist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School and although she never learned to drive she was involved for more than 25 years with the Sealy UMC Sunday School and as a member of the United Methodist Women's Club. She loved gardening, taking care of her flowers, planting a garden with her grandchildren, and quilting. Mrs. Browne was also a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. Survivors include her sons -- Glenn and wife Nancy Browne, Jr., of Tyler; William and wife Patsy Browne of Sealy; daughter-in-law -- Terri Browne Eaton of Colorado; as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents -- Jan and Rozina Sabrsla; 12 sisters and brothers; and her youngest son Sam, in 2002. Pallbearers serving were her grandchildren: Bobby, Doug, Steve, Glenn III, Mike and Tim Browne, Audrey Browne Megil and Mandy and Abbey Browne.
